We asked first- and second-generation immigrant high school students what American democracy means to them today and how they believe it will shape their futures.
Created for the Courts, Community, and Rule of Law 2025 Video Contest, this documentary won first place in the tri-state competition. In 2025, it was selected to be shown at every naturalization ceremony throughout the Third Circuit, serving New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and the U.S. Virgin Islands for the next year. The film now welcomes thousands of new U.S. citizens on the day they take the Oath of Allegiance in 2026.

“You are the masterpiece.” How one teacher empowers her students to see themselves as art
Artist and educator Blu Murphy empowers her students to see themselves as art. Her work, including the “Redline,” “Le Drip,” and “Feel” series, are designed to strengthen communities and inspire students to embrace themselves. Most notably, her work through the Redline series combines photography, textures, and red fabrics across subjects' eyes to symbolize the binding educational trap due to “redlining” in low-income minority communities.

Charlotte Mathias explores her perfectionist tendencies and the tension between ambition and self-doubt in this personal experimental short film. Created entirely independently, Charlotte wrote, directed, filmed, edited, and performed every aspect of the project herself.

After overhearing talk of negative body image in the locker room, a teenage girl begins to spiral.
The Start, written, directed, produced, edited, and performed by Charlotte Mathias and Juliana, explores the prevalence of body dysmorphia and eating disorders among teenage girls. Filmed at their high school with the support of their classmates, the film was created to help young audiences feel seen and understood. Made by teenage girls for teenage girls, it aims to spark conversation around an issue that is often normalized but rarely discussed.

Kate Grady is a stained-glass artist whose work blends her craftsmanship with her intuition. Working primarily on commissioned pieces on a farm, she finds peace in the process of creating with glass while embracing the uncertainty that comes with every new project.
