Charlotte Mathias is a 17-year-old filmmaker from Long Branch, New Jersey, and a senior at Communications High School. As a writer, director, cinematographer, editor, and occasional actor, she is passionate about telling character-driven stories that explore human connection through both narrative and documentary filmmaking.

Alongside her independent films, Charlotte works as a freelance videographer and has collaborated with businesses, nonprofits, musicians, and local organizations throughout New Jersey. She serves as the Media & Outreach Producer Intern for the City of Long Branch, where she produces promotional videos for the city's social media platforms. 

Charlotte discovered her passion for filmmaking during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she began creating short films with her family and friends. What started as homemade videos quickly grew into a lifelong passion for directing and visual storytelling. Since then, she has continued developing her craft through Communications High School, the SOCAPA Advanced Filmmaking Program in New York City, and the PBS Student Reporting Labs Academy in Washington, D.C.
